I don't mind the paint. It is the ride that I... Hate is too strong a word because I am not interest enough to hate... Could not care less about.

I guess that kinda answers my husbands question on whether or not he will fit or if it was even worth it to try to fit lol

Getting in and out is really hard regardless of your size. The space in front of the seat and very narrow, and the comfort collars make sitting down awkward.

Yea as excited as my hubby is to see a new coaster his words were "um yeah no i value my legs..." lol

It never dawned on me exactly how that was done until that video. It seems so tedious, but I guess how else would they do it. [/Trolling alert] They have to find some way to make the park's most beautiful coaster work! [/] XP

Anyway, the whole thing about painting Apollo's Chariot sounds like a round-about way of saying "We're doing what we do every year". He didn't make it sound like they are doing anything new. I probably would have pressed him a bit further about that, personally.

So, as some of you may recall, last year I concluded that Tempesto was an adequate coaster or really a nice flat. Essentially, I didnt care one way or another about it. We rode it today and the new comfort collars have dramatically changed my mind.

The new, pointless, rubber OSTRs seem tougher and stiffer and possibly shorter. The result is that mine boxed my ears throughout the ride. I had a headache for all least 10 minutes after I escaped.

Last year the cars were tight and the comfort collars made getting on and off the train annoying, but they didn't actually affect my ride experience. Today, I had flashbacks to Drachen Fire. Maybe all of the faux nostalgia for that travesty is what gave the park the idea that guests enjoy beaten about the head and shoulders?

So, if it isn't obvious, I have gone from feeling indifference towards Tempesto to actively disliking it. It hurt me more than any other coaster currently operating at BGW.

I rode this last year and I do agree that this is the "Drachen Fire of the 21st century" but that's being to kind because Drachen Fire was a coaster at least, this seems like an experiment gone wrong! Never riding this disappointment again, that's for sure.

For lack of the two hours required to type up my full thoughts, I am keeping my mouth shut on this topic... permanently.

I guess it is just me, but I don't have a problem with the "pain" everyone is experiencing. Yes, it is very hard to get in and out of the seats (being 6'3") but for me that is the only problem. Would I prefer the ride without OTSR? Of course I would, but in the mean time I enjoy the ride. Just my 2 cents. :)

Just for clarity, did you ride it today? As I said, the collars did not cause me discomfort last year, only annoyance.

Indeed I did. I rode it twice in the back row.
