I am happy to see Disney build a roller coaster that is not themed to a train or mine ride. Out of the 33 roller coasters in the Disney chain, 10 of them are train/mine themed. You would think that Imagineering would be able to come up with some more unique concepts like Slinky Dog for coasters instead of always falling back on one of the most obvious themes one can think of for a coaster.

But anyway, this is a great looking family coaster and Toy Story Land is going to be a great addition to DHS.

To be fair, six of those are clones/variations of one another. You have the four Big Thunder Mountain coasters and the two 7 Dwarves Mine Trains. And the concept behind Expedition Everest is unique and innovative making it one of the best themed coasters on the planet.

Am I alone in thinking that the slinky dog is a really cool concept for a train? I am really curious about this coaster. That said, I wish it would move like a slinky; like an springy accordion. If that makes sense?

Nope! I'm with you! Right now, I wish I could be a fly on the wall in Mack's facilities so I can see what they look like! LOL

Slinky dog got the stank eye!

I’ll call him Stanky Dog from now on!

In a effort to not clog the Rise thread with crowd and operational changes because of increased crowds I figured I would post this in the ride specific thread. Looks like Disney is adjusting how the Slinky queue works in the morning and allowing guests for that ride only to enter the land and ore fill the queue before park opening. The end of the queue line is stretching almost to Launch Bay many mornings now. All other parts of Toy Story Land do not open till posted opening times.
