Just received a survey regarding possibly breaking off the Sesame Street portion of Busch Gardens into its own separate park.  I have no children, so doesn't hold much appeal to me, but maybe others would like it???  The price that was floated was $59 for entry, and I think $100 for 2 parks, $130 for 3 parks.  Seems to me that it would be somewhat hard to get people to go into this Sesame Street Park with BGW still including Land of The Dragons plus kiddie rides in Scotland, Germany, & Italy.

RE: Survey - Sesame Place Williamsburg

I was just about to post the same thing! I just finished the survey. It sounds like a neat idea but I would need to see more on the pricing.

Looks like the footprint of this "new" park would expand its current location within BGW and expand to encompass the entirety of the France Parking Lot.

RE: Survey Soliciting Interest in the Creation of Sesame Place Williamsburg

I've never been a fan of Sesame Street in the park in the first place. I would love to see them put some money into updating Land of Dragons instead, possibly incorporating an animal exhibit with a small new attraction/exhibit a la Jungala at BGT. On the one hand, this proposal would technically remove Sesame Street from BGW, which I guess I would like, but it means vastly expanding that area. However, it has no appeal for me whatsoever, and the proposed price seems really high. It also seems odd to expand into the parking lot. I'd rather keep that lot than expand FoF. I suppose they may not have to reroute any trams if they limit the expansion just to the France lot, but it seems like the entry plaza would get more congested. I don't like this idea at all. Better kid's attractions can be had elsewhere.

Holy shit! SEAS is exploring a third gate for Williamsburg?!

First impressions: I want this. I really want this. This idea is brilliant.

I am genuinely curious what you believe the implications of this may be Zachary. I mean it shows they want to invest in BGW for sure.

if they made their own kiddie park/land with its own separate admission, would that mean that membership prices would rise? i have a feeling they'd just make the passes include this new area like how they made the membership automatically for busch/water country

Guess they can open the old way over to that area to get to the skyride.

Me too. Plus SEAS isn't in good shape financial wise, so it wouldn't be smart of them to do something like this.

I really like the idea. Why not make this an expansion of FoF, allow folks to just use it as another country basically? Hersheypark has the water park that has restricted access via two 'gates' that they can staff to close the water park after it's closed while the hard park is still open. Similar scenario would be possible here, IMO.

Question for those with kids: is Sesame Street as popular as it was in the 80s and 90s? Could Sesame Place be that big of a draw?
