I miss this ride. I really do. The ride footage and the then-novel queue in that long "rock" tunnel gave the entire experience a very earthy, organic feeling. I feel like the ride ran afoul of our sudden cultural fascination with in-your-face CGI, and met its end earlier than it deserved to.

You just know somebody has that animatronic hoverbiking pre-show elf in their basement, pedaling away.

what is sad, is that the whole event building was theamed for Questor including the screens. I think other shows suffer from this. Also as a show it was more entertaining and POV was better than what has come since.

^I think the short lived King Arthur's Challenge used the old Questor theme'd queue fairly well. Stone walls and other stone themeing would work for something that's supposed to take place in that time period. (Not that I remember the actual video for King Arthur's Challenge. However I do remember a pile of gold with a sword sticking out of it and some suits of armor in the waiting room before the preshow room.)

It is best that you don't remember. I try... but... there are some things you can not unsee.

In my opinipn they have done a great job of reusing the theming for each attraction. Off-topic but a description of King Arthur's Challenge by Chuck Campell from Themeparkinsider.
King Arthur's Challenge (Busch Gardens, Williamsburg): Yeesh! They dumped Questor for this? This was a simulator in which guests were "miniaturized" by Merlin, the Magician, and sent on a quest to recover "Excalibur" from some evil knight's castle. The ride itself, with its cheesy, out-of-focus computer graphics, stunk. But at least the video preshow, with its sub-community-theatre cast prepared you for the worst. Merlin looked like some inner-city derelict dressed up in a reject costume from a Renaissance faire. They probably paid him off with a case of Ripple. Corkscrew Hill, a good 3D simulator, has since replaced this dog.
I hope at some point we see a mythical Irish ride return because as much that I love EITA (very little but I love the footage and it's sentimental due to the fact I waited two hours on opening day.) the ride vehicle is way outdated and it doesn't fit with the current theming.

Oh no doubt I'll prolly hate it now. But, the 6 year old in me who's favorite ride was King Arthur's Challenge really wants to see it.

This is a photo of Tampa's Questor but the Williamsburg version still had the same seats.

No, I was talking about Williamsburg, what I was trying to say is that we didn't have the same seats as Tampa, because the promo was filmed in Williamsburg.

An awesome Questor reference on top of a really cool Corkscrew Hill reference. That sounds about right. :)
