It’s gonna be different walking by that area and hearing “VROOOOOOOOM” every 40 seconds lol

I am very excited with this news, especially after finding out about Volcano. Hats off to Intamin for working hard on projects overseas and making a splash back in the US market. With this ride and the future Jurassic Park coaster good things are on the horizon.

Do we actually KNOW it's Intamin, yet? It certainly looks like their design, but I don't think I've seen anything that points to Intamin 100%.

I'm pretty sure this is Intamin. But, if I were Seas, I'd have had a serious chat with them after their Parc Asterix reveal. Looking at the slide (yes, THAT slide), the silhouette pretty much is consistent with the BGW projected layout. Which means they've been in discussions and planning for a while. Now comes the Parc Asterix reveal and all of the unique elements, etc. Based on the projected layout at BGW all of those might not be utilized here. As an example, I don't see any indication of the below terrain dips, etc. prior to the switch track. And that stuff, to me, looks pretty cool.

Sure, if we get what's in the projected layout, great! But I'm betting Seas said to Intamin "hey, thanks for showing people what they're NOT getting."

Eh....I believe the BGW one is going to be different enough. And if it's going to be THAT big, I doubt it uses any of those elements anyways.

It’s 100% an Intamin. No other manufacturer has this sort of design.
See verbolten.

Almost none of these are "new", and out of all these, one is a roller coaster. And it opened nearly 10 years ago. That's not new either.
Falcons and Infinity are two of the of the newest intsalls in the US. Cheetah is the 3rd most recent Intamin Coaster in the US. I don't know how wavebreaker has been but thats the only coaster that could possibly be a good witness for Intamin at this point. I'll be very interested to see how it all pans out. Honestly I do hope that it's an Intamin, but the track record they have with SEAS is just slightly better than Moser at this point.

they were broke. They are still not healthy. Frankly some could argue that this is risky investment.
I don’t think they’d be broke if they’re building 5 coasters in 2020

And I say this because I’ve seen some people (not necessarily here) say that SeaWorld hates Intamin and won’t work with them.

The only park that has a noticeable avoidance with Intamin is Williamsburg, and has been stated previously, is a result of Giles.

My guess as to why Intamin has seen a dry streak in the US is because they have been dethroned as the go-to manufacturer for big time thrills, as RMC has been delivering that lately. If you aren't going for high risky thrill, you aren't going with Intamin, as B&M and Mack are considered widely more reliable, and are kinda the safe move.

The thing about Giles is that he didn't leave SeaWorld. He is now the person who runs D&E at the corporate level. I think it always came down more to other manufacturers being able to provide something more specific with what BGW was going for than simply avoiding Intamin altogether.

Also he didn't leave for Orlando that long ago so he was definitely involved heavily in this ride. So I don't think it could be said that the only reason that BGW would be getting an Intamin is because he left.
