I've slipped on those plaques more times than I'd like to admit, glad they're going.

And for as much as people are nostalgic of the Paramount era of Kings Dominion, I'm not warm to the sort of stuff they've left behind for Cedar Fair and them possibly attempting to embrace that part of the history of the park. (I am very happy that the plaques broke, is what I'm saying).

I am nostalgic about park history, but in no way am I nostalgic about Paramount. Still, I like to have a few reminders of the Paramount, but I don't find the plaques necessary. They were more related to movie IPs than the park itself.

those seem more like unsubstantiated rumors and less like certainties. The source material provides not references.

Come on man, do you really think somebody is actually making up something as specific as building renames?

KD Fanatics doesn’t usually share stuff unless it came from a reputable source. This page seems to get a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff that more often than not ends up being correct.

Nevertheless, interesting names for sure. Seems like they’re trying to go for a western theme within Old Virginia.

The Parched Pig Tavern is replacing the General Store (the gift shop across from Wayside Grill). It's a neat-sounding project and I'm shocked Kings Dominion hasn't announced it yet. It seems like being able to show guests that they are adding anything in the wake of Volcano's closure would be a good thing.

I'm a skeptic and like the scientific method. I prefer data that is verifiable and and documented.

As far as likely, I have no idea if it is likely. We are talking about Facebook, it is not exactly known for being a source of clean intel.

This is disappointing because this was the last known location of the sexy frog figures. Now I only know about them in Epcot.

Rest in pieces to the monsters in Necropolis during Haunt season if the tavern decides to sell alcohol during that time (spoiler alert: THEY WILL!).

Wouldn't be much of a tavern without alcohol... perhaps the park is clearing this area of overly dark, cramped spaces in the wake of adding this new dining option?

So I heard an (unsupported) rumor, that if CP's interactive area they are putting in takes hold, that they would look to expand it to every park, and that area were DA was is where they would put the KD version.

So we're seeing the potential workings of Old Virginia being "updated" possibly in the future to be more banjo-y in the next few years.

Whatever, so long as it's not just a rename and they keep playing "Country Roads."

Nope, that’s where my large GCI is going. Sorry Cedar Fair. ???
