First this is a good call. Second, bunch of pansies!!! In 99 I was working at Chariot. They didn't close. My day officially sucked. Since they were shorthanded everywhere I ended up at Little Clydesdale.

Due to the impending inclement weather, I've been informed the park will be closed tonight.
As of right now there most recent fbbbnpost has them open 5-11 tonight. Not saying you are wrong but I would have thought they would have updated already if they have made the call.

Are you, by chance, biased?

Just giving credit where it’s due.

AC’s opening year crew was the friendliest and most enthusiastic group to work a ride in the park. Each ride-op that worked the controls was great on the mic everytime they sent a train off and when it returned. One of them (I think his name was Cliff) got a full train of inner city kids on a school trip to sing “I Believe I Can Fly” before he dispatched the train.

They were also very efficient. On a busy summer day with a more than full queue spilling out into the pathway past Roman Freeze the wait time was never longer than 45 minutes.

The Y2K crew on AC was pretty good as many of them came back to work the ride but nothing touches that opening year crew!

Thanks for the kind words. We did a lot of hard work. We would have power hours to get people thru. Place everyone at their best post and go. I loved controls, favorite post.

Cartman from Colorado

In other news it appears that the park didn't escape unscathed. There was apparently storm related tree loss in the Octoberfest area. Not my pictures but taken from a public FB post which the park was tagged.
