So SeaWorld San Antonio is the little step child in the SeaWorld Chain. It doesn't ever seem to get any love from SEA. When it did get a coaster it got the most cloned coaster ever, an off the shelf B&M Batman Inverted Coaster named Great White, and a Morgan Hyper. Not that I think there is anything wrong with a Morgan Hyper, but overall the park is neglected.

I know what you are going to say, the park just got Aquatica, but renameing your existing waterpark is hardly an addition. Now, I've never really seen what their version of Aquatica looks like, or Orlando's for that matter, but from what I understand it is not quite up there with Aquatica Orlando.

With all that being said, I think its time that San Antonio got a new coaster, and I think it should be named Manta. The chain might as well do it, they've already done it to San Diego and the original in Orlando. Now I don't know if the new coaster should be a B&M flyer, a Mack Launcher, or something else entirely but the park is in desperate need of it. I do know that it should have an original layout different from the other two Manta's and should incorporate the great combination of animal encounters and thrills.

Thinking on this further the ride should be accessible to all ride heights like Manta West since they park already has two high thrill coasters.

What do you think?

At least they still have Jack for howl-o-scream.

I would suggest a clone of the coaster they have in San Diego. Has anyone here ever been to this park?

I went when Steel Eel opened back in 1999. It's a nice park and is actually a little bigger than Orlando. They definitely have the space for more coasters.

I actually don't wanna see the park get a clone or rehashed theme. How about another unique coaster?

- Wing coaster themed to some mythical ocean beast. How about Cthulhu?
- Launch coaster themed to escaping some vicious fish/dangerous sea creature
- Some kind of rescue mission (sorta like Jet Rescue) for a family-style coaster.

Family rides like Diskos and splash battles should be excellent additions. I'm also all in for a major dark ride like Antarctica.

While some flats would be great, I think a Family Style Coaster is needed, and I am almost certain that it would be named Manta. Its very very likely.

This. It seems too Six Flags-ish for the chain to keep rehashing these launchers among all their parks in my opinion. I'd definitely like to see them pull out something new.

I really like this idea. I could totally see some near misses in a cavern/cave structure.

I live in San Antonio and even I feel like this park need something. I've driven past it once or twice since I've been here, but haven't visited yet. I do have a friend who has worked there, so maybe I should ask his opinion. I do have plans to visit this summer, and will probably buy a one year pass, which makes more sense than a Fun Card so I won't have to pay for parking every time.

About Aquatica, if I wanted a water park, I'd probably go to Schlitterbahn instead since the two are both about 40 minutes from me. I feel like it's a pretty cheap idea to take your existing water park, separate it from the other half of the park, and then charge extra for it.

I think it would be great to have a new "family friendly" roller coaster, since it doesn't really have one, and families seem to be a big draw to SeaWorld because of the marine life they have.

They are in desperate need of a new coaster, the park was in some pretty bad shape when I went a few weeks ago. I can confirm they have the space for a new coaster, especially since they just got rid of the Log Flume near Steel eel. Actually, the log flume still isnt gone, several pieces/flumes are still there with the station. Only raised parts are no longer there. They need something new! They have TONS of space past the sharks encounter that looks like Aquatica could take over, but a coaster could work there as well! Especially a Manta with the exhibits that are back there! That would certainly fit well!
