Here are some more pictures of renovation happenings.

With the addition of a table, I can only assume the new show will be more of an animal presentation rather than an actual show, show.

The paint job for this signage seems very unfinished but so far looks fairly nice.

Check out the addition of this fountain that now has some green additions.

As with the previous photo, some green and blue have been added for contrast.

Very lovely, blue and purple paint look.

Thanks for the pictures! The fountain you mention in the third photo has always been there. However, some of the orange on it has been re-painted, the green has been like that for some time though, I expect that to be finished later.

Thanks for the photos! The brook looks wonderful, and the slide looks awesome, I wish I could go down it! Did you climb the treehouse and look inside of it to see if any work was being done up there?

With how crazy crowded it was, I wasn't going to try to venture up the tree for pictures. I'd prefer to do it on a day when there is no one in my way.

Okay, I plan on heading up tomorrow, so I'll go quickly walk around and see if I find anything else, and I'll check the treehouse.

I went on the slide, it's pretty steep, but fun(I have a 4 year old). I can see how kids get hurt on it though, you can't see anything at the bottom. There is an attendant at the slide entrance, but you can't see the bottom of the slide so I'm not sure what they are doing. The brook has become more of a lagoon...it will be just like FoF but it will have 3-4 inches of water in the whole area. It looks great.

I thought the stepping stones were a nice touch, but I found myself waiting for my kid to trip over them or fall off and faceplant, so I get why they were removed....I've seen a few kids fall over them.

Slide entrance:

I didn't find anything else to report on, that hasn't already been reported. But as far as the entrance goes, there is an attendant standing there directing the kids. I saw a couple kids coming out the bottom, they all seemed very happy, and excited. I was very tempted to go down myself, but then I reminded myself that I was an adult(young adult)...:(

So who went to the Celebration this weekend? I did. Unfortunately I only got to walk around about once because it was completely packed, and I just had to get out of there.

Did anybody see Scaly Tales: Myth's Understood? I couldn't since I got to the park fairly late in the day. From the stage set-up it looked like the trainers brought the animals onto the table, and looked like they presented, and explained cool facts to the crowd. Then at some point in the show kids got to come down and touch some of the animals, judging by the hand sanitizer dispenser on the stage, or at least that's how I pictured the show.

By the way, I guess this question is pointed towards Zachary, is Joe still writing the post on the main page about the LOTD revitalization?

More improvements. :)

In case anybody was wondering, drains have been added to the bottom of all the eggs to drain all rain water.

Tree house slide safety sign.

Roar button is back, it seems to have the same sign it had in the past. And as a side note, you have to push down pretty hard on it for it to work, considering kids will be using it.

New shade structure, seems to be the only new one I can find.

Stage set-up, sadly I have yet to see the show because there are no show times posted anywhere.

The jumping geysers are back at the brook, unlike last year where only one was working, and it just sprayed water like a broken sprinkler would.

At 39, I'm too old to have experienced Land of the Dragons as one of its target audience (My impressionable memories were of Hanna Barbera Land at KD). But I do remember walking through this section of the park in the early 2000s, and I'm so glad to see that BGW has given love and care to a really charming little place that was so important to so many of you younger park-goers. It's really nice, and sadly rare, to be able to wholeheartedly applaud something that BGW has done recently.

So I managed to find a few songs played in the area the other day. Most of them are instrumental nursery tunes with very mellow tones, but they fit perfectly with the area.

Travelin' Magic - 1989
Studio Musicians
- "The Wheels on the Bus"
- "Side by Side"

Leroy Anderson
Frederick Fennel/Eastman-Rochester
- "The Syncopated Clock"

Baby
Le tagliatelle di nonna Pinta
- "Muppets"

That's all I had the patience to find when I visited, and to save you the time do note that it's increasingly difficult to find these songs anywhere on the internet.

Also, the Land of the Dragons 20th Anniversary renovations article for BGWFans is still a work in progress. Everybody tell Zachary to answer his damned PMs to help me out over here.
