RE: Howl-O-Scream 2013 - Rumors
I think the park needs to work on latex facial features instead of masks. The zombies could have looked so much better, had they lost the masked, wore regular clothes that were torn, and then added some fake blood, and went on with the special effects that can be applied to the actors, they could have looked more like zombies than a group of look a like people.
Also note, the werewolves needed some different type of prop to use. The clowns had horns, zombies had chainsaws, werewolves had random items such as straps, tin cans, etc. I did like how the wolves were able to have a growling effect, where it sounded like they were actually growling like real wolves. Perhaps they take that, and expand a create howling effects for them?
I wish they had unmarked scare zones which were actually hordes that roamed a particular area. For example, clowns roaming all of Festa, rather than just the bridge. Also, expand on the theme for Festa. Have those flag banners strung up from light post to light post. Random circus tents the size of small changing rooms on the side of the pathway that actors can hide in and pop out of. Perhaps some faux games on the side of the path, like in Fear Fair, how they used the air gun, but use it in a scare zone.
Along with those, they should have full park roaming hordes that should match the park theme, zombies, where as all the others are just themed to a particular area.
Next year, turn the small German village into an overgrown garden area with vines covering the buildings, with the eyeballs. Have garden supplies for scare actors to use as props, etc.
Those are just a few things that I would personally like to see. Mainly, some work on pathway scares.
