I caught a ride right at sunset tonight on Grizzly the view with the sun setting turning the sky bright red on the horizon behind the trees in their fall colors as it created the lift hill was incredible. Almost enough to make you want to pull your phone out snd get s picture. Which I of course did NOT do.

I'm pretty sure I know what you mean by this statement, but I'm going to intentionally interpret this as KD adding more roughness to the coaster. I'm picturing a crew of workmen being sent out onto the track with mallets so they can beat new dents into the track bed to keep Grizzly's Signature Roughness™ intact.

Haha, no I meant it as a joke like you interpreted. Although....I would love to see that happening.

I wonder what will happen to Grizzly's entrance with Dinosaurs Alive gone? The dinos have been in Old Virginia since 2012, so that area is going to look very different this season. My main question is whether riders will still be routed through the old Dino Store as they were for Dinosaurs Alive, and if any changes will be made to the path between the gift shop and the current ride entrance. It definitely seems like the current setup poses an awkward "no man's land" with a large concrete plaza leading down to a tiny entrance, but without a dramatic infrastructure change I guess this is the setup the park is stuck with.

Then there's the question of how far KD will go with dino erasure. Will any attempt be made to hide the old walkway to Dinosaurs Alive next to the Grizzly exit, or will the park just lock the gate and hope people look the other way? Is it too much to wonder if the dinosaur footprints stamped into the concrete will be covered up somehow? (Maybe the large bear pawprint stickers that were placed on the ground in front of the Dino Store in 2017 can just cover up the remaining dino tracks as well.)

Most importantly, what will become of the Dino Store? I have a hard time seeing it revert back to the Grizzly Arcade that it was through 2011, since the park has phased out most of its arcades except for the Grove Arcade. The Old Virginia side of the park has a serious shortage of shops, so I wouldn't be surprised if the building becomes a gift shop of some sorts. Personally, I'd love to see it be a shop promoting Grizzly and selling ride memorabilia. "Grizzly Gifts" has a nice ring to it.

Oh yeah, I'd also love for the stone bear statue currently at the entrance ramp to be moved into the planter in front of the old Dino Store where the t-rex statue used to be. After seven seasons of being totally hidden by the dinos, Grizzly deserves all the visibility it can get.

Has anyone been thinking that Grizzly should have been the one to receive the Rocky Mountain Construction treatment? Either that or they should have closed both Grizzly and Hurler and used that big space to make something big like Steel Vengeance. But we would have probably had to wait until 2020 to receive it. Would have been worth the wait.

The point of the ride is to make it look like you survived a grizzly attack, and it does that very well.
Well it’s on my DNR list along with Wildcat and Kinda Ka (3 rollbacks. 3! And they wouldn’t pull us back in despite saying the winds were making it difficult).
