Note-France is always Preferred, when England isn't used for loads of buses, England is Preferred as well.

When I was there not too long ago France was being used as general, I was quite confused having spent all my life it being used as preferred, I didn't know if it was a change for the season or what

couldve been a day where they were tryning not to use the the other lots because they didnt want to run trams; or just tryin to fill in every available space to pack as many people in the park as possible, but france is the designated preferred lot

It was so weird because it was all three days I went there, I got into France for free with general. Either the new employees messed up since it was around the start of the season or it was just to test the water

I have observed that on days when they expect smaller crowds they sometimes put all of Preferred in England. I imagine that would free up France and save them money on staff.

I am going to Busch Gardens Williamsburg on July 21st, July 22nd, and the July 23rd. What are the best times going during the day at the park and what will the crowd levels be.

Monday will probaby have the lightest crowds, and Saturday the heaviest. Of course weather can alter that dynamic. Rain or extreme heat can drive the locals away.

Crowds are generally the heaviest in the middle of the day. It is always a good idea to be there both at rope drop and the end of the evening.

Because you are going in the middle of the Summer, crowds are likely to be bad, regardless.

The crowds on rainy days, especially during the week, are generally much lighter. The rides generally remain open, unless there is a localized threat of thunderstorms. In those cases, the park usually try to reopen everything, if the lightening passes out of range.

Anyone want to hazard a guess on what Sunday, Nov. 25 will be like? Looks like it's anticipated to be a "medium" crowd level (my terminology) based on the ticket prices for everything but I'm wondering if people think that WF at KD will draw away crowds? We did the Sun after Thanksgiving in 2015 when they still had Twinkle Tickets and it was SO CROWDED. Ugh.

Given the extended forecast for CT is rain this coming Saturday and Sunday...….The crowds may not be too bad if you want to deal with rain. Now, granted, a forecast this far out probably has about a 25% accuracy rate but if you are planning you might want to keep an eye on the forecast.

So I'm planning to go April 15-17. Since those are weekdays, it should be lighter than the weekend. I remember going a few years ago in April and it was extremely cold and often raining, in which case it may close early or have no crowds. But on the other hand, based on the pricing of quick queue, it looks like the park might be expecting good crowds. I could always wing it and buy quick queue the day of, but that means yet another line to stand in

I planned our spring week this year based on the local school calendars. The first week in April will be a disaster with Williamsburg Richmond, and other local schools off. The week before Easter will be better but still crowded with tidewater area and Virginia Beach schools off. We decided on the week after Easter since few local school districts are off, however NYC and other large northeast cities have that week off.

Our kids are in private school and their Easter Break is the week after Easter. In the past, the week after Easter was wonderful - we would go midweek and pretty much walk on everything. I think that all public schools in VA are off the week before.

I once made the mistake of going the Wednesday during VA school's break... ? I'm not even exaggerating when I say the traffic line to get into the park extended to the highway exit.

Local schools are all off the 1st week of April. But yeah typically the week after Easter is the slowest of the spring break weeks.

It's a darn shame this is when I am in town. Out of Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, which should be the lightest,

Sunday is usually really light most of the time early on and late in the season. If it's during spring break expect crowds every day.

We homeschool so we had our choice. If you have a choice don't go the first week in April. The week before Easter will be better with the week after even better.
