For a while I thought you were talking about Larry Giles, the V.P. of Engineering at BGW. Anyway, back on topic. Does anybody know if there will be any returning cast members?

Carl had mentioned to us this is the last year for this show. We shall see.

What's going to replace it? Hasn't Howl-o-Scream had some variation of the Frankenstein story since the event started?

Just saying I would love to see a show centered around Jack, in a theater, not in a walkway, just saying. This doesn't really come as a surprise. Fiends has always had mix reviews. BGW has been producing pretty solid shows as of recently so let's hope next year will be no exception. I'll be at the park Sunday to see what could possibly be my last showing. Maybe next year it could return to Das Festhaus?

David, Almost every year. There was Festhaus Fright Night (or something to the effect) That ran for two years, which didn't have a Frankenstein character. Otherwise they just use the Frankenstein Monster-type character in other shows.

Connor, Fiends will never go back into the Festhaus. Not with the nurses as they are now. And especially not with a man stripping on stage. Maybe if it was still the early 2000s with the old version of the nurses it could go back. People would riot again, and we'd just have a repeat of 2011.

Also Jack is dead. He should be reburied along with Unearthed. The two can go together.

I don't know if this has been said but I just wanted to pose this to you guys and see where this goes... *steps up on soapbox*

Fiends is bad for women. Yeah I get that the show is very racy, but come on. The women are dressed as sex kitten nurses who live to screw the male characters and they all look exactly the same. It seems to say "women are things" and "why do you need to tell them apart?"

And that casket club show in the festhaus? The woman literally caught the guy cheating on her and then turned around and married him.

Come on, BG. I'm honestly not trying to be "that guy" and be all super P.C. but damn.

*steps off soapbox*

To be fair, the last part of Fiends focuses completely on a ripped shirtless guy who does nothing more than prance around in a speedo. There are certainly more instances of women being sexualized than men in Fiends, but that's not to say men are not represented in such a sexual sense either.

Yeah, absolutely. I fully accept the sex of the show. I guess it's more the have-all-the-women-dress-exactly-the-same thing that gets me. As well as the way they're just *gagging* to have sex with the men. One girl even literally turns around and wags her ass at the guy. I don't have any problem with the sex whatsoever, but it's the way it's done that seems so sexist. Even when the speedo guy parades around it's presented as "everyone worship me because I'm attractive" not "I'm DESPERATE to please you."

Anywho, I don't really want to make a big stink out of this. What's done is done. I do hope they repalce the show/s next year and that whoever creates them has a little more respect for women.

Joe, One man being sexualized doesn't balance the equation for the 7 (?) women.

Fiend definitely has a balance problem. And I mean to be fair as far as the same costumes go, a lot of the shows put the dancers in similar/same outfits. Most likely because its cheaper, but also to seperate them from the main characters. (Or vice versa. I won't pretend to know the knowledge of the inner workings of any production.) However in Fiend's case, they only changed Simplicity's outfit last year to be slightly different. Previously, the only way you could tell her apart is because she had a mic on. Which goes back to what Merboy said.

Fiends has a pile of problems in it when it comes to the sexualization of women. I love the nurses to death, but I won't deny that there's a massive problem. And I'll repeat. ONE sexy man (who is debatable when it comes to the word "sexy".) does not balance out the 7 nurses. And that's not to say that Tampa has it better balanced either, because last year's show that the very least had 4 nurses, 4 bat girls and only two male nurses. But they make next to no mentioning of the male nurses outside to introduce them to the audience. And then they're barely part of the show. Unlike the nurses and bat girls who are on stage dancing.

(Side note, the marriage thing in Night Beats has always bothered me. Just the sub-plot in general.)

EDIT Because of Merboy's post above me: Also to throw it out there, the original 2012 version wasn't as... "Women throw yourself on me."/"I'm desperate for your dick." It just gets worse and worse every year.

This show is definitely sexist as all hell but its been that way for years. And people can tell it by the pictures on the outside of the building.

Overall I actually like this year's cast pretty well. But the show needs to go.
