RE: Entwined (2012)

No not Maypole, that is just a street show, this I am assuming is for the real Festhaus show replacing This is Oktoberfest.

RE: Entwined (2012)

A simple TESS search shows that there is no trademark for the name Entwined. I am curious to know where this info comes from?

EDIT: TESS shows that "Art Entwined" is a live trademark already and has a disclaimer saying there is no claim for the word 'art' itself. Which means to me, Entwined is already claimed.

RE: Entwined (2012)

I was curious and found a German translator site called Babylon. When I typed in "Entwined" it translated it to "My honey flower." Does this make sense to those who know German?

RE: Entwined (2012)

Well I see little proof of that, however since there is more than just one person confirming it, I suppose I can give up my argument.

EDIT: By the way, is it me or does Entwined sound like a show in Ireland? Not saying it is, but it does have an Irish feel to it.

Just so you know, the park doesn't always have to have a name trademarked prior to its usage. They may well not even ever trademark it.

I can confirm Entwined as well.

I know, that is why I said "not saying that it is" it just sounds like it.

As for the trademark, yeah the park doesn't have to have one to use the name, but still usually if you look at some shows, they do get trademarked, like Celtic Fyre and a few others. It is just more expected to be trademarked and they tried to trademark Roll Out the Barrel which means they must have been somewhat serious about getting a trademark if they want to trademark a name that bad.

RE: Entwined (2012)

I was given a bit of information on Entwined today and if it's all true (it's from a good source), I think we have an excellent show coming to the park this year. By the sounds of it, Entwined will take a handful of different German fairy tales and nursery rhymes and jumble them all together into one show. I've heard there will be fog and even some simulated fire and snow. Also, apparently the deck area above the entrance to Das Festhaus has been converted to an audio and effects booth for the show and is now disguised as a gingerbread house.

Sounds great! I was interested where the technical set-up will be and I guess the stage really is all the way in the back now. Interesting.

RE: Entwined (2012)

In the 2012 events calender that arrived today, it says "Entwined: Tales of Good and Grimm, a brand new show....I hope it's open of Pass Member Preview Day.

RE: Entwined (2012)

Oh yes please! NeverAfter in a full season show? I'm down with that. However I don't really see Rapunzel (she was Grimm created, not Disney, right?) and the three pigs becoming a massive celebration in a fest hall. Whatever, only time will tell.

Maybe we'll "blow the Haus down?" -Oh sweet God that was terrible, even for me.
