I signed up for the VIP tour this August and am sooo looking forward to it. According to the friendly VIP manager I spoke to it's a superb experience:

- EVERY ride has Priority access, even the Elmo drop LOL
- Pick your row, pick your seat
- Stay on TWICE (even Pantheon)
- Unlimited food (no choice restrictions -- make a tray of every dessert, multiple entrees, etc)
- Two behind the scenes experiences (Verbolten, train, horses, wolves, etc)
- 10 hours of ad-hoc bliss
- Park in the employee entrance and skip the line

I did a VIP tour at Universal in Hollywood and it was phenomenal.

Any pointers? From what I read the bakery and candy store do not apply because of past abuse. I'd like to experience everything I can but I don't want to be obnoxious about it.

Thanks!

No, this is my first. We always get quick queue but that's out of impatience, LOL.
Well it should be really fun for you! Inside Verbolten is really neat, railroad can be fun too, and while I have never done the animal tours myself, the people who have taken them that I know of seemed to enjoy them. I would say pick which experiences seem to fit your whole party, or if you are going solo, which ones sound the most fun? One thing to note is that the tour guides do not accept tips and (in my experiences) direct you to donate that amount to the BG conservation fund. Last I knew, every tour guide knows just about every tour, so even if you have unrelated questions, ask away! They probably will know the answer. This does not apply in future attractions unfortunately.

Thanks for letting me know! I was planning on giving our guide a very nice tip for putting up with my daughter and I for 10 hours. I know it's their job but being a good tour guide takes real skill to do well.

Unrelated -- I asked the manager if I need to specifically invite our guide to eat with us (or he/she isn't allowed) as I read that in a post in the forum. He chuckled and said it's not true.

I'm not sure if we want to take away priority ride time, even though the tour will happen on our 5th day, or have the experiences. If the latter I think we will do the horsies to have a little relaxation and Verbolten because it looks so interesting.

Looks like yall have a plan! I will say that if you treat the guide with respect, you will have a very fun day! These are not your run of the mill ride ops "moonlighting" to get more hours, but people who showed exemplary customer service, knowledge, and overall enthusiasm for the park. They really do love their jobs. They are there to make sure you are having a special day, so don't feel like they are putting up with you! Lastly, the special experiences don't really take up that much time, maybe 30-45 min. Verbolten is going into the control booth for a few dispatches, walking down to the building, seeing the inside of the building for a few cycles, then walking around the building to view Launch 2 for a few minutes. It takes maybe 30 minutes in all. If you can get on any ride with no wait, you really can do the whole park in 5-7 hours (depending on your walking pace), so unless you want to ride something for hours on end, 10 hours is more than enough to get in everything.

Please note, it also includes reserved seats to all shows (with the exception of concerts, if you go on a concert day). I think you just have to let the guide know that you want to see [insert show here] at [insert showtime here]
