Disney to ban selfie sticks!

Hopefully more theme parks will follow!

In addition to Disney, other major events and festivals like Coachella, Lollapalooza and San Diego Comic Con have banned them as well.

They're probably only doing this to force their own, Disney-branded selfie sticks on everyone.

I'm currently at Disneyland Resort (yaay) and they actually stopped all trains on California Screamin as someone pulled out a selfie stick at the top of the highest crest on Wednesday. I wasn't at any of the parks that day as I've only been in the parks yesterday and my last day is today.

It's out of control.

I was at WDW last year for IAAPA and the day I went to Magic Kingdom I saw 3 people in separate cars on the Seven Dwarves coaster holding them out during the ride. That mess needs to stop!

Had a discussion with a checkout clerk at KD last night in the Candy shop; where they have them on sale.

He hates them, I hate them, but hell, they're selling like hotcakes....unfortunately.

Found this today at Big Thunder Mountain and I saw several other signs throughout Disneyland.

According to the cast members, the ban should be effective June 30th.
