I just realized there wasn't thread for this great film!

From Dinosaurs: Giants of Patagonia's production website:

If it weren't for a series of cataclysmic events; a comet impact being first on the list, our planet could well still be the domain of dinosaurs.

Dinosaurs fascinate us so much, that many people wish they were amongst us. Fortunately, the large format Dinosaurs 3D will be the closest thing to actually being in the presence of the extraordinary creatures without looking into our own extinction at the same time.

Following Pr Rodolfo Coria, a world-reknown Argentinian paleontologist, we visit sites of major discoveries he has contributed to in Patagonia and travel back in time to see these amazing beasts come to life. Patagonia has given us the largest living animal to have ever walked the Earth: the titanesque plant-eating Argentinosaur, and its nemesis, the Giganotosaur, a bipedal carnivore, that could easily challenge the famous T-Rex.

Deeply rooted in science, the film carries the audience through the lives of two specimens of these superb achievements of evolution. The action is intense and the landscape is out of this world. At times, the camera takes us into space to witness the movement of the tectonic plates or the arrival of a comet that will seal the fate of the Dinosaurs.

As the movie leaves our Patagonian giants behind to jump forward to the end of this extreme chapter of Earth's history, we learn through science that although most species of their evolutionary branch have disappeared, the Dinosaurs are still with us today. You can see them easily. They sometimes perch on wires in your back yard. You've even probably eaten quite a few of them. They are birds.

This is a fascinating and very interesting 3D video documentary of dinosaurs, narrated by Donald Sutherland located in the Action Theater on International Street.

Great effects and animation and a powerful movie. In the Corkscrew Hill thread, it was stated that this was a "boring dinosaur documentary." Why? No, it's not a ride, and it doesn't keep boggling your head back and forth, but it's relaxing, interesting, and a great non-ride thing to do. As I stated in my "senior" trip report, my grandparents thoroughly enjoyed this. I am surprised that they didn't store the simulators, but decided to let them just go to ruin after they were taken out when the dinosaurs chased SpongeBob Squarepants 4D out of the Action Theater. It doesn't really pack a crowd until the doors open, and people say, "Hey, let's go check it out!" Every time I watch it, the theater is nearly full, though it fills up just a minute or two before the next show begins.

It's not a ride, but it's educating, cool, and interesting. Give it a chance, you won't be sorry for trying something new!

RE: [Other] Dinosaurs: Giants of Patagonia

Okay, I screwed up the attraction tagging thing. I have no idea how to put that "Other" tag in front of the thread title correctly. Also, I wasn't quite sure as to where I should put this? Is it a show? Is it an attraction? If a mod could help out here, that would be great (feel free to hide this post once everything is fixed.). Thanks, and sorry about that!

RE: Dinosaurs: Giants of Patagonia

Fixed the tag for you. Thanks for making a thread for it!

I have a dream of a stunt show arena replacing the Action Theater. One can dream, right?
