We are going to be heading down to Orlando/Tampa this spring break to make use of our Platinum passes.  I was wondering if we can use our passes in the parks for discounts on tours or food while we are at the park.  When I sign in to the passmember site for BGT, the only discounts I see are for the Food and Wine festival packs.  Any info you can provide about discounts we may get at any of the SEAS parks in Tampa or Orlando is appreciated.  My kids are 7 & 5.  I don't think we will do quick queues since most of the rides are too big for them.

Unfortunately there is no simple answer to this question.

Generally, yes you get your Plat benefits at BGT, although it does appear that you shouldn't. That said, in my experience, it is harder to get discounts over the phone for tours and stuff. Not impossible, but it seems to depend on the customer service representative. I have gotten free Preferred Parking, and frequently do get discounts in the park.

I generally try and hope.

With the Platinum Passport, you will be able to use your pass for discounts on food, merchandise, as well as tours.

I believe the discount is currently at 10%, but I would be happy to check on that for you.

If you're interested in booking tours and receiving your Platinum discount, I would reserve the tour via SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment phone agent, just to make sure the discount is properly applied and goes through the booking system without an issue.

If you have any more questions regarding your upcoming trip, I'll be more than happy to help you in any way possible! :)

If you look at the site and try to buy things on-line, our access to benefits at the Florida parks seem to have been reduced. That said, I generally do get most of the same benefits at the park. People have had problems both on-line and over the phone, however. In the past the benefits were the same across the parks. That no longer always seems to be the case.

In short, the benefits a Tampa-based Plat member gets at BGT may not be the same as the benefits a Williamsburg member may enjoy, when visiting Florida SEAS parks.

When trying to book ahead on tours, its hit or miss with a BGW platinum pass like nicole says, whether you do it online or over the phone.

However, I have always gotten 10% off food and merchandise and always received platinum discount on tours when you buy them at the park.

If you're interested in seeing any shows at the park, your BGW platinum pass will grant you reserved seating at most shows including Iceploration & Opening Night Critters.

The theater attendants respect that policy and would gladly direct you to the reserved seating area.
