The lack HoS branding is scary.  I'm also kind of surprised they're trying for Thursdays again.

I wonder if that's meant to be a sign that BGW is going to take a break this year and create an all new Halloween event. I hope they can confirm something about this.

According to their schedule, they have the same HOS schedule as last year with 11pm closings on Fridays and midnight closings on Saturdays. I think we will see HOS again this year.

Confirmed open Christmas Day!

Thanks for the info but that makes me more then a little sad to see them go that route.

I imagine the reason that HOS is not promoted on the calendar is the same reason why Food & Wine, Bier Fest, ETC are missing because they aren't separately ticketed events like ChristmasTown that need to be emphasized.

Very interesting move by the park to be open on Christmas Day as it's not extremely strange for parks to be open on Christmas as all major Florida parks are open and several in Cali are open as well. However, this is the first regional park I've seen that hosts a Christmas event to be open on Christmas.

I can understand being open on Christmas, as a tourist destination, but what makes no sense at all is closing Christmas Eve?

I'm sure the employees would like at least one of those days off to spend time with family.

Plus Christmas Eve is traditionally slow for the park so my guess is the park wants to see how Christmas Day crowds fare instead.

I wonder if the expanded Christmas Town schedule (and the event's increased visibility on the schedule) has anything to do with WinterFest debuting at KD this year. That probably isn't the only reason, but the park is about to have some major competition come November and I'm sure boosting the number of available days and amplifying promotions of Christmas Town would help give the event an edge over the folks in Doswell.

And of course, Christmas Town is so popular now that the more days the park can offer to spread out the massive crowds, the better- for the guest experience and for the bottom line.

Does the opening on 03.24.2018 mean that passholder preview will be the saturday before? I hope so. My two favorite days of the year on the same day. Preview day and St. Patrick's day!!!!!!!  Hope they have green beer in Grogan's Pub.

Hopefully, I'm awaiting the announcement also. I hope they open the day after also or it's not worth the 4 hour trip for me.

Personally hoping for a Pass Member Preview Day that does not coincide with St. Patrick's Day even though it probably will (due to my job and having to work that day this year as mandatory I believe)

There is no "increased" visibility. Christmas Town has always been separated from the main season schedule like it is now. It has always been this way.

I'm betting HOS and CMT both got an extra weekend because both events are hugely popular and expanding them just makes sense especially with over crowded happening so often.

What should be most concerning is what is happening to Beir Fest. This year the weekend prior is Noon to 6pm, when last year both weekends after Labor were Noon to 8pm.

Also, could there be a pass member preview night for CMT, similar to HOS last year. Both events "officially" start on Saturdays, rather than Friday.

Not sure how I feel about a Christmas opening... Maybe they are hoping parents take the kids to Busch Gardens as a gift?

The park surveyed passholders on this exact thing and that out of the people who participated less than a handful said they would consider it and further would only do so if it didn't conflict with Christmas Day activities with their kids, friends or families.

Are they going to announce Project Madrid on March 17th????

At this point given that there are no new permits I am starting to think that there might not be a prodject 2019 or at least not in this scale.

Promotions for Pass Member Preview Day 2016 specifically mentioned that the event would include announcements about Project 2017 (InvadR). If nothing of "Project 2019" is teased before March 17th, I would be surprised for the park to make any sort of big announcement about it.

What the heck could they have to announce about InvadR?
In the spring of 2016, a fair bit.

Yay! I found someone that reads as fast as I do, and misses pieces of info like I do. At least you didn't send an email to your boss about it. (yeah, I have - more than once)

Nothing he was referencing the pre pass holder day teases from 2016 and saying that if we didn't see something like that by March that there would likely be no big announcements this year.
