I personally think it's worse than Wildcat at HP......and people are begging for something to be done to Wildcat.

Part of the issue IMO is the trains. They are terrible. Way too small of seats. I'm 6' 235 and have 0 wiggle room. The GF is 5'10" (I'm a gentleman, but she's a marathon runner so there you go) and she doesn't have enough room. They need better trains on there with more space.
I think part of that’s gonna be the fact it’s the first GCI.

Grizzly is fine the way it is. Its one of the few coasters where I think the roughness adds to the ride.
Couldn't agree more. The trains, the roughness, the woods around you—it all adds up to a ride that feel totally out of control in a way which can be terrifying, but so exhilarating.

I hope they give Grizzly some nice rehab like they gave Rebel Yell Racer 75 last year.

My dream is for them to give Grizzly Phoenix trains but that is what it is. A dream.

Someone recently pointed out to me that GCI does not like airtime. When they are brought in by a park to rework a layout from another manufacturer they will make every attempt to design the airtime out of the layout whenever possible. They did this to Ghost Rider, Anaconda, Boulder Dash, Thunder Coaster; just to name a few.

I've heard a rumor (big time rumor mind you) that it's because their engineers believe it's what leads to quicker track issues on a woodie with the consistent up forces.

FWIW I've been on BD, the ejector triple up was terrible and GCI's reworking into a floater double up is so much better.

I’m not disagreeing with Nicole, but for distinction’s sake, Racer was retracked by Gravity Group, not GCI. I wonder if the fact that both companies seem to reduce the airtime in their projects lends validity to the claim that airtime makes the track condition worse.

My point was only that retracking can have negative outcomes. I feel that people can get too enthusiastic about changing everything.

TRUTH.

I remind everyone that on this VERY forum there was a similar discussion about re-building Nessie, removing her loops, making a new coaster and place the loops as some kind of statue...

I caught a ride right at sunset tonight on Grizzly the view with the sun setting turning the sky bright red on the horizon behind the trees in their fall colors as it created the lift hill was incredible. Almost enough to make you want to pull your phone out snd get s picture. Which I of course did NOT do.
