While I think that this show is pretty good and a big improvement over the watered down Night Beats from 2014-16, they do need a new name because it barely resembles Night Beats at this point. Maybe "Vampire Night"? I don't know.

The live band in the pit is great.
The black singer really nailed everything with her performances and in my opinion was carrying that entire show.

I cannot say anything else good about that show, a lot of the songs they covered legit made me think "I used to like this artist."

I found the show highly unbelievable. The lead male vampire would not go after the female. He might go after the male. How can I put this delicately: he just came across as too gay.

It really bothers me that the band is in the middle and sunken. It seems unfair to not have them as a more significant part of the show.

I'm deeply confused by this comment.

I could just be totally misunderstanding your post, but you seem to be saying that you thought the lead vampire was gay and, hence, you found the fact that he was paired with a woman to be unbelievable?

If I have that right...

First off, there's some pretty, uh, antiquated stereotyping at play if you thought an effeminate vampire couldn't possibly be straight.

Secondly, and way more importantly, I don't think Night Beats is meant to be highly believable. It's literally a musical theater production about vampires singing pop songs. In fact, an effeminate, singing, dancing vampire may be one of the single most believable things in Night Beats...

This isn't really news following last year's version... But Night Beats: Revamped is still awful. In fact, I think it may be worse this year than last year.

Really awful show.

Just curious, what do you not like about the show? I personally think it's fine but I always like to hear others thoughts.

Not meant to be highly believable? That vampires can't sing or that they can't dance? 'Cause I know you don't mean vampires aren't' real.

Just got back from Busch and the first time I have ever seen this show. I thought the 2018 version was SO good I saw it 4 times and would like to see it more. Excellent vocalists (2 of them have sang Staircase to Heaven in Britmania last year and this year), excellent dancers (some of the dancers this year are absolutely stunning in their movements), excellent choreography (it really matches the music) and a very upbeat playlist. I give this show A+ for theme park entertainment.

I have to amend my previous comments after seeing the 3:30 show on Sunday (10-14-2018). This was a fantastic performance. The cast had a good on stage presence and chemistry. The show was tight and the choreography was spot on. The vocals were strong. I don't really know if they were just swings, but both lead vampires were different than the previous performances.

Saw the first and second (may have had my stein filled a couple times) shows on Saturday. Both were stellar. I thought it was better than last year and my group (first time seeing it) all agreed that it was really good.

Some lungs on two of the lead 4. The girl with the nerdy guy and the guy on the other side who was in the normal Festhaus show were excellent and I wish they would've done more together if it didn't throw off the balance.

I really like that they have a live band for this show and I think the singers this year are actually pretty good; especially the two male singers.

I think, at times in the show, they cover songs that they have no business trying to cover.

for example: if you are going to try to cover the stones (paint it Black), you darn better nail it. And they did not. They also split a lady Gaga song into a male/female parts likely because a single singer with Gaga's range would be hard to come by. That decision was a bit less heinous.

That said, I love love loved their rendition of "take me home tonight". That singer has a great voice for that song.
