Take this for a grain of salt, but I have talked to a few people via a group on facebook who claim to know some people in the park who worked alongside those that were let go. From what I could gather, some of these people worked alongside each other. I then assume they did the same role which somewhat explains to adjustments. When a division isn't responsible for itself financially under a parent company (SEAS under Busch), they tend to have a lot of heavy weight and duplicate job roles. Its a good sign they only eliminated 125 jobs this year, but I worry that we're running out of duplicate jobs. I hope they don't spread themselves too thin and compromise the guest experience. Especially given that they're in a rebuilding period. Again, grain of salt, these are my assumptions for the reason they eliminated more positions on the back of a stellar report.
Edit: Lance at Screamscape is reporting it quite a few positions are upper management Directors, VPs, etc. Said that this could be in preparation for a possible sale of the company.
