I think everyone would love to see the park eventually add more hamlets. Spain has been talked about for years and is a heavy rumor now. Aside from Spain, what countries would you like to see and why? Where would they be located?

I was hoping for a retheme of New France to Switzerland, but with Invadr being added that will not happen.

I've mentioned before how I would love a waterfront hamlet. I've thought Netherlands, but now I think a Scandinavian country would add something more unique. Also it would be a cool tie in to Invadr. Maybe find an alcove on the river and try to make it look like a little seaside village.

The other one I think has massive potential is Russia. I think this could be in Festhaus Park, and if a resort hotel were added in the bone yard could be connected to it. Imagine a hotel that has the iconic Russian architecture. Something with onion domes, bright colored patterns and plenty of rich gold interior. Another use for a showpiece building like that could be a theater. Russia provides unparalleled opportunity. They could have a main season show featuring the incredible Russian ballets, then in winter swap the stage for ice and showcase the ice skating talent Russia is famous for. They deserve a spot if only for the incredible musical history. Not to mention a very different culture and cuisine few Americans know.

I would love to hear your thoughts and hopes! Also please leave politics out, Russia has a deserving history that has nothing to do with current affairs!

If you want a water front hamlet, Greece is the one we should want. Visually it would look great with the terrain by the water and buildings to look:
Greece waterfront

Ride wise there is so much to go with Greek mythology.

Just off the top of my head you could do:
~A show called the trials of Hercules.
~A long terrain coaster (launched, wood, or steel) along the river called "The Odyssey"
~A windseeker/star flyer named "Aeolus" (god of winds and air)
~A Mack Powersplash named "Revenge of Posiden"
~Interactive indoor ride with a shooting component based off the Spartans of Greece.
~Spinning indoor wild mouse, "Escape from Hades".
~Shopping area called "Home of Hermes" (god of trade, thieves, travelers)
~Intamin Gyro Swing themed after Athena
~A wine garden called "Dionysus' Cellar" (god of wine)

Man.....I've talked myself into wanting this more than Spain.

If they make Switzerland, they could retheme InvadeR to be a German invasion during WWII.

I'd like the following:

1. A retheme of Festa to Greece;
2. A retheme of New France to Scandinavia;and
3. A new Hamlet themed to Turkey.

It wouldn't look like Greece at all with the dirty brown water of the Rhine.

Also, the Greco-Roman theme is overly used and played out across the global amusement industry. Too many coasters, rides and park sections are named based on the mythos of many of the characters.

I completely agree, and I also think the stately, stone Ancient Greek theme would be too similar to much of San Marco, with its stone statues and columns stretching from Il Teatro all the way to Pompeii.

I think a Mediterranean theme could totally work though, just not with the cliche Greek temples and gods. I could see (and would support) turning Festa into a Greek bazaar. The park could reuse much of the existing architecture and flat rides, with an emphasis on Mediterranean artisans and vendors having set up temporary shop in the Mediterranean countryside, thus spinning the overused Greco-Roman theme into a unique open-air market/festival setting.

With live dancers and music, heavy prominence of games and shops, and a cleaner and folksier, less ramshackle upgrade of the current Festa buildings, I think the Greek bazaar theme could make for a relaxing, unique, and festive themed area.

To explain my thoughts on Festa, I think it is already 3/4 of the way to an Ancient Greece theme. I just want to ditch the carnival decorations and commit to the time period and location.

I 've never thought New France made any sense in BGW, and since the park added Vikings, I think makes sense just to embrace Scandinavia.

Geographically, architecturally, and in terms of merchandising, I think Turkey would be an excellent addition.

I like this slight change, and piggybacking on that, I think it would be interesting to see the Alpengeist area somehow grown a little and turned into Switzerland/Austria. Maybe all of that Germany part, and split Oktoberfest into two for the two parts of Germany.

Or maybe just have Oktoberfest remain as the one Germany.

I mean, historically speaking, didn't Germany already spend enough years divided in two?

Not sure how well the clockwork and scenery of Rhinefeld would actually translate into Switzerland or Austria, though. Could that hamlet, whichever it would be, start at the pathway by the Rhinefeld nudie statue & restrooms and stretch to the Alpengeist bridge? That wouldn't be half bad, especially as Switzerland is a small nation. Expand the Alpengeist viewing perch a bit to become Liechtenstein, and revamp the lonely little fountain that sits there.

The other side of the bridge all the way to Invadr should totally be Norway. I mean, come on. Rename Le Scoot to Fossegrimen Falls, and Le Catapult can become the Lille-hammer.

Great ideas. As far as the scenery changing....wouldn't really have to. Switzerland and Austria are still quite Germanic in many ways. I think it would be a great way to get a show around classical music, get a little more Alps themeing. Having that would also work a little better with Alpie because when I think Alps I think Switzerland and/or Austria....not so much Germany.

I really like the idea of that being Switzerland or Austria. Very little would need to change. I love New France being a Scandinavian country. That totally needs to happen. I don't think any country should have more than one section. This reduces the exposure to other wonderful countries. These two easy changes, plus the no brainer of Festa to Greece would fix that. Three new countries for very minimal cost!
