I don't know who made the statement but they definitely did not look at any yearly ridership numbers. Volcano definitely has the longest line whenever it is open, but it is nowhere near and has never been even close, to the most ridden ride in the park any given season since it opened.

I think it is worth noting that Lumberhack is slated to return for HOS 2018. I can see at least three obvious explanations (and of course variants combining any of them).

1. Work in that area of the park won’t begin before November 2018. Or construction can be accomplished without razing the maze.

2. That area is not part of the current Project Madrid plans.

3. Project Madrid has been cancelled altogether.

I also think it will be interesting to see if the DF station building is used for HOS, as that could provide additional clues.

Is it possible that Lumberhack could be moved?

I think given that nothing has happened yet its pretty likely that Madrid if its still on is a 2020 or later project. Given that Lumberhack is still here this year and the new Christmas Town tras in thing which would be odd to be running through a major construction zone its first year going it seems likely to be that work might start spring of 2019.
