This does not entice me to buy more coke products. Exactly the opposite, this just makes me want to boycott any coke products there. I'm sick of this blatant corporate sponsorship bullshit dirtying up "the worlds most beautiful park". I'm fine with water and it's healthier for me.

I would not be surprised if "World's Most Beautiful Theme Park" is stripped from BG after all of this. Such a shame

All of the other SeaWorld parks have been fighting tooth and nail to not become Coca Cola Park, but not BGW. We don't even have a pass member lounge, not even with Coca Cola. The other parks have probably been using those as a buffer to keep CC off of the main pathways.

Subtlety is what the Coke ads lack. I totally think it's possible to earn revenue through soft drink ads without ruining the appearance of the park. In fact, it's been done at the Busch parks before:

Even if every single attraction were "sponsored" by a different Coke beverage, I still think the advertising would be less garish while having an equal subliminal effect on guests. I wouldn't mind riding AlpengeistPresented by Powerade if it meant guests wouldn't be bombarded with giant-ass Coke bottle cutouts.

I honestly don't think it's a big deal. If that's the trade that gets some more money pumping into the park to hold events. It's fine by me.

While I was typing that post, I was actually thinking about Kumba and Rhino Rally with Mountain Dew. The difference there is that Pepsi kept it off to the side, and with a color pattern that fit the theme and even some existing color schemes.

Heck, even in Williamsburg we had the Pepsi Ski Mart and the German cutouts going into Oktoberfest with the Pepsi cans. I want someone to find Pepsi's most gaudy advertising. I don't think they ever would have thought of literally putting giant Pepsi bottles everywhere. I agree with the people above that CC's current advertising is has more of an adverse effect on me.

While I prefer water, I will drink any soda brand if I feel like it. CC now just makes me bitter. I really had very little of an opinion on soda branding before all this.

I also mainly drink water but when I do have a soft drink I prefer cherry pepsi, but again only as a mixer with spiced rum. Maybe Pepsi's advertising swayed me when I was an impressionable youth:

That's literally how I hold my drink when I'm dancing in a club... Or, you know, trying to walk down a sidewalk.

So, Summer Nights was surprising for how good it actually was when I went there in August. It was certainly miles ahead better than Illuminights and Star Spangled Nights combined, which the two of them to me were experiments that ultimately failed in the end. The only thing that I can nitpick and want the park to fix for next year is the music, it's blaring all around the park instead of just one area, I do like Lady Gaga but everyone else I'm not a fan of at all.

So yeah, when the only issue I had of a BGW summer event was the music choices, that is a good sign in comparison to what came before it.

Illuminights was a great concept and for half of the event, it was great. Where it failed was when it decided to mock the nations versus celebrate their culture properly. Italy and Ireland the first year was really good, Germany really needed some work, but only got worse. France's parade wasn't terrible, but could be tweaked. It also brought in more crowds than Summer Nights and oh yeah it was an actual event and not a giant Coke Ad.

I don't know if anyone caught Good Shot Judy during the Summer. They were very entertaining and great musicians. Also, several park alumni are in this local band.
