Well, did the trains have seat belts when they were on Gwazi?

Interesting. So the belt system already in place was actually removed for InvadR.

Still doesn't make up for the comfort collars.

On a serious note, the park and/or GCI probably took into consideration how doing away with the seatbelts would help speed up capacity. Given BG's status and large crowds during the peak season it makes sense to want to increase capacity with such a small station footprint and shorter trains.

Some before and after comparisons. Some angles were hard to interpret. Other places the old photos taken from are no longer accessible. So, these are general area shots.

I didn't feel like loading photos all day in the clunky forum way, so this the best you get. Smiling

I'll plug extras in another post.

EDIT: Another angle. All before are Pass Member Preview Day and all after are opening weekend.

GCI President and CEO Clair Hain said the only thing leftover from the Gwazi trains were the frames for each car. Everything else on them now is brand new.

The test seat was moved from across the restrooms to between the InvadR sign and Le Scoot's entrance, had anyone else noticed?

I noticed that Sunday and forgot to mention it. I hope that maybe they will get some more visibility and use there as I have personally witnessed a person bumped about every third ride I have taken which is surprising as it has a decent range of fit in the restraints. I know from personal experience now embrassing taking that walk is. I suspect that many people didn't see them back by the restrooms.

Maybe they should move it towards the entrance to the queue. Where it is now, people think the entrance to Le Scoot is InvadR's entrance. It feels further away from the entrance too.

I prefer when they are not in public view. Having to use them is humiliating in the first place. Having to do it in public is worse.

I think my only discontent with Invadr is the station mapping. Having the ramp end facing rows two and three makes for a backup getting folks into the rear of the train. Guests wanting to wait for the front row easily spill onto the ramp, which slows down the load. Comet at Hersheypark is similar, and those in the know have to bust through those not in the know, to get a seat mid-train.
Otherwise we loved the ride last weekend. The feel of a woody, good speed sensation, smooth overall, and plenty of forces throwing you around the seat. Looking forward to more rides later this year.
