England is one of the best countries in BGW. However, England is just a simple path with buildings on each side. I believe that there should be more paths so that the visitors can choose where they want to go. Also, Escape from Pompeii is a very massive ride that is just bigger than what it needs to be. If BGW ever decided to remove EFP, and I know it would not be too cheap, England can be extended to that location. There could be a path, which there is, from behind the Big Ben and the restrooms behind the Globe, passing by Elmo and the skyride, across the railroad tracks, and over the bridge to Italy. And where EFP now is, a new dark ride. Also buildings on each side, and maybe another water ride. England is a great country, but it should be bigger. And alto the park may never do this, it would be an interesting addition to England.

It's sound interesting but England is supposed to be short, simple, and sweet to the point. It's purpose is to get people to stop and buy merchandise, watch a show, or have a meal.

The Banbury Crossing hamlet is the first thing you come across upon entering the park. Like Connor stated, it is a lot of product placement. not saying the entire point of the hamlet is to induce a sense of impulse buying amoung guests, but it does a damn good job of it.

Also, you must put into consideration the "re theming" it currently went through. This makes it even less likely that an expansion will be seen in this area of the park.

Final point, the path back by the restrooms is currently used as a service path for team members. it's also less than likely that would eventually be opened up for public use due to the purpose it serves for staff on that end of the park.

We could all go on for days about how we could create potential expansions for the park. Expansion (not cramming) is good if it's executed correctly; We must be sensible and realistic here though, in light of recent events expansion to the park seems very unlikely due to a lack of funding and a mountainous increase in cut backs.

Anyway, welcome to the forum!

technically, of course England used to be larger before with the Fare and Hastings.

A path for staff isn't an issue. There's actually another one in that area. The problem is having that path open literally lowered the profit England made in its gift shops. This was because people weren't going by half the shops in the area anymore and many used it as a short cut to that side. When FOF opened they had that path open too but quickly closed it for that reason.

That path was open at Christmas Town because the line for Scrooge No More was too long. The path was not changed at all, they just put a gate on it, just to let you knowSmiling . By the way, when do you guys think they will announce Project 2015?

Never. It will be a surprise opening. Also, if Pompeii were actually closed and England was expanded, it would end up being larger than Heatherdowns. I like the small hamlet of Banbury, however, I do wish the path to the Skyride  was still open. It was a nice shortcut to Italy rather than the narrow path to Scotland that everyone funnels into now.

I do miss that pathway. Never saw it open once Forest of Fun went in, as I was out of action for a handful of years and missed that window. It must have been a great way to funnel families with young kids directly to the closest kid-magnet area, keeping them out of the Scotland pathways. That little Scotland climb frankly is a bit too narrow to handle the foot traffic it now sees at peak times.

As a parent, I do pause a bit at the idea that there would be two exits from the Sesame area. With exactly one way in and out, little crazies are well contained and unlikely to get too far even if they do slip their supervision, as happens from time to time. In the end I don't think it's a huge deal either way and I would love to see that Globe-to-skyride path open again. Oh well.

Like I stated in my original reply, Banbury Crossing is a lot of product placement. If traffic of guests was to be diverted along the blue line it would refrain guests from stopping along the yellow line to look at shops and impose a sense of impulse buying, thus resulting in a lack of merchandise revenue.

So I agree with you 100% where you say that opening that path up is less than likely considering the dropping revenue that would result from it. I just thought I'd clear up my stance.

Don't they have to travel down the yellow line regardless of the alternate path.

If they took the alternate path, it cuts off the Candy Store directly. At the same time it will cut off all the other stores (Except Union Jax) because it's now people forcing their way across a massive herd of people trying to get to the Emporium. And most people don't want to fight that sort of crowd level unless they absolutely have to.
