Glorious, so glorious.

"Too scary for your family?
Visit us during the day to experience family-friendly rides, Sesame Street Forest of Fun and Land of the Dragons children’s areas, and up-close animal encounters perfect for fall fun. Once the clock strikes 6 p.m., the Howl-O-Scream scares begin which may not be suitable for young children."

The last piece of track went in yesterday, a full 3 weeks ahead of schedule. Rock on B&M! Sure hope I am able to try this one out in 2015.

It's not going to win any awards, but it looks solid. It's sorta sad to see a B&M debuting as what seems to be a filler coaster in Holiday World's lineup, but at the same time, it does fill a ton of gaps for the park. Ultimately it seems like a good addition to the park's collection, but I don't see it being a selling point past this year.

I'll get back to Holiday World to ride it eventually, but to be honest, I don't know if I'd be returning to Holiday World for Thunderbird- I'm pretty sure I just want to return for more quality time with The Voyage.

I see your point but if this had come to BGW we would all be losing our minds.

Anything of quality at BGW would be a pleasant shock.

This ride looks like a good bit of fun, and I love that B&M has come back around on a launch ride after claiming they'd never do it again after Hulk, which is a great experience. I've never been a huge fan of B&M's wing riders, though. They're a little bit gimmicky to me (those "keyhole" elements), and their train design inhibits interacting with natural terrain very well. When they first debuted this model, rumors were that they were working their way up to their own 4D design, which I would kill to see from B&M. X2 is amazing, and I'm sure Bolliger and Mabillard could bring something great to that kind of ride, particularly in giving it their trademark smoothness. This coaster proves that they seem willing to work a little bit outside of their box with the launch, but I find it odd that anyone would ever choose to launch a wing rider; it's a very bulky train to blast at high speeds in a thrilling way. It is, nonetheless, an excellent addition to Holiday World, giving them both a steel and launch experience, which is very different from their top-notch wooden trio. I'll definitely have to check this out whenever I can.

Another thing about B&M Wingriders is that they're rather forcelss. Every review I've heard about Gatekeeper for example can attest to that. It seems like more of a front gate ornament more than anything. Hopefully that isn't the case with Thunderbird.

I actually really enjoyed Gatekeeper, for what it is worth.

I mean no doubt it's still enjoyable, I'm just saying opposed to other wing rider models like Intamin's, there seems to be a profound lack of force. Hell, that seems to hold true with all B&M's compared to Intamin.
