Nooo, I'm so sad that they removed the wagon entirely! It was a small thing, but I felt like it added to the themeing -- something that Festa could definitely use a little help with!

Ugh. Gladiator gauntlet, right? I never rode it because the sound it made was horrifying. I always felt like it sounded like it was about to fall apart.

Carl Lum?

Wisdom from a mug ~ In the time before airlines & electricity, the countries of medieval Europe developed distinctive styles architecture suited to their regions. Traditions & culture grew separately as well. The diverse heritage of many Americans is celebrated here in Busch Gardens at Williamsburg.

Quick Contest -> Can anyone name all the "real" people pictured in that mural? Hint: There are 6 people I am talking about.

CK you need some Photoshop lessons. I mean could you imagine if the park actually had those faces on there like that?

So, I've studied Marco Polo a bit, and I've concluded Festa is messed up in ways I never realized.
Marco Polo lived in Venice. That instantly shows a problem. Festa is not on top of the Rhine River.
So, the solution is either Festival Di Roma or Festival Di Venezia.

The most likely option by far being the first. It'd be hard to add canals all over.

I highly doubt Heatherdowns or Aquitaine are on the actual Rhine either. Festa isn't directly on top of the river in terms of park geography. San Marco is. The river runs close by Apollo, but that segment of the ride is far enough away anyway.

Theme park history/geography is never gonna be 100% accurate anyway.

Yeah, well, I mean, why are Ireland and France not separated by a sea? WHY IS FRANCE RIGHT NEXT TO CANADA?!

It's just a theme park, yo.

Actually the proximities kind of work.

Polo was from Venice. San Marco takes its inspiration from St. Mark's Square in Venice (just recently there, ya'll need to go at least for a day). So Marco Polo's hometown is just a bridge away - creating some distance...

Stop trying to make consensus happen. It's not gonna happen.

Okay. Didn't know that.
And yes I do like adding themes matching terrain in parks. That's why the concept of something that sounds venice-based on first glance being on land irks me.

With how crazy people portray themselves about theme, I am shocked at the responses. That said, it may just be a theme park, but theming the terrain is attention to detail that is really quite amazing.
