This seems as good a place as any. This thread needs some love, anyway.
Some old merchandise examples, too.

Open is nice, but I think I preferred more chandeliers instead of tack, I mean, track lights.
And more flags...
and charm.

Zachary's update photo England Renovation

EDIT: Forgot one.

(With some Piratical Purgatory sneaking in.)

Remember when they had cast acting out a pirate skit in front on the Globe?

Givin' this area some much needed love.
Love it while you can.

May I mention the nice shubbery!

I miss the path to the L'Aeronaut.

Yeah, I know. But it's just up the path.

These are 2008. Can you see any changes it 5 years?
I don't think there are banners on the Globe anymore.

From the missing trees mentioned over in the Rhinefeld thread.

Ah, that took a while to find.
The missing trees in Banbury. Right and left.

From 2004.

Found this blurb about Globe reconstructions around the world. BGW is referenced at 1974.

Wonder what "The plans for "an elongated octagon" and acting company, were never completed." is about?

I agree, they have lost a shockingly large number of trees over the years.

Man I can't even remember when England had trees like that. You would think a park so stuck on being the most beautiful would have kept them, unless there was something that caused them to die or have to be removed like a tree disease or natural disaster that killed them, like the one tree by the Festa train station.

Maybe they thought people's ideas of fun didn't involve trees. So, to appeal to more people, they got rid of them.

Yes, the Globe Theater has had a few actually. I do recall an Ice Show was there once as well as some magic shows.
