I know this may be a little off topic. However, My great Uncle helped build Busch Gardens, and his job was to move dirt from the man-made river to other areas of the park, I'm sure we can move around a little dirt. It's no need freaking out over.Winking

I don't know if I did this right because I just joined, but I've been meaning to ask this for a long time-how deep is the "river"?

The River Boat Cruise captain told us the range. It does get really deep in one spot. Wish I could remember what he said...

I thought he told us it was 17 feet deep on average, but with one spot that was about 50.

I was told that the area around Grimm's Landung is only about 6 feet.

Under and around the train trestle is very deep. I have never been able to confirm or deny this, but rumor has it that someone jumped in the water from the trestle as a dare. He was perfectly fine. He swam ashore, and supposedly wasn't caught until much later. Of course he was banned. Like I said, I'm not sure if I believe that myself, but I have heard it before.

Anyway, we should probably get back on topic, or leave this thread to rest.

It was actually the Italy bridge and yes it was a dare. He was fine after jumping and even made it back on the bridge soaked and jumped In again. But when he made it back up the hill security was waiting for him. I went to high school with the guy. He was that crazy but still a good person. Good news is that was 9 years ago and his ban is over.
